These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Proofie (the “App”), an iOS and Android application provided by OurBeom (아워범) (the “Company”).
They apply to the iOS App (App Store ID 6809110642, Bundle ID com.ourbeom.proofie) and the Android App (Package Name com.ourbeom.proofie).
The way the App handles personal information is described separately in the Privacy Policy.
Article 1. Purpose
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users in connection with the use of the App.
Article 2. Effect and Changes to These Terms
These Terms take effect when they are posted in the App or otherwise made available to users.
The Company may amend these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. When the Terms are amended, the Company will notify users of the changes and their effective date through the App. Any change that is unfavorable to users will be announced at least 30 days before it takes effect.
If you do not agree to an amendment, you may stop using the App and delete it or cancel your subscription before the amendment takes effect. Continued use of the App after the effective date will be deemed acceptance of the amended Terms. However, if you expressly object to an unfavorable amendment, you will not be deemed to have accepted it, and the Company will provide information on how to cancel your subscription.
Article 3. Services Provided
The App provides the following features:
- taking photos or importing photos from your photo library;
- adding the date, time, day of the week, and similar information to photos using templates;
- saving the resulting images to your device or sharing them with other apps; and
- viewing the records you create together on your device.
Saving and sharing images made with certain templates, removing the watermark, and changing the date and time stamped on a photo are available only to subscribers. Without a subscription, images show the date and time the photo was taken. Other previewing and editing is available without a subscription and without usage limits.
Proofie is intended for users aged 16 or older. The Company does not collect dates of birth or identity documents for age verification.
Article 4. Use Without an Account
The App can be used without creating an account or signing in.
Photos and records you create are stored only on your device. The Company does not retain them and cannot restore them if you lose your device or delete the App. Please keep important records separately, such as in your system photo library.
Because Proofie does not use user accounts, the Company does not link iOS and Android users as the same person. App data and subscription access cannot be transferred between the two platforms.
Article 5. Paid Subscriptions
- Monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions are available on iOS and Android. The price, subscription period, trial period, and renewal terms displayed on the purchase screen apply. Payment is made only after you review and agree to those terms.
- iOS payments are processed by the Apple App Store, and Android payments are processed by Google Play. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods are subject to the policies and procedures of the store through which you made the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically according to the terms displayed by the applicable app store. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the subscription settings of the App Store or Google Play. After cancellation, you will retain access until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the subscription will not renew.
- If the Company increases the subscription price, it will notify users of the change and its effective date and obtain any consent required under applicable law and the procedures of the relevant app store.
Article 6. Restoring Purchases and Determining Paid Access
Purchases are restored using the same app store account used to make the original purchase. iOS purchases are restored through the App Store, and Android purchases are restored through Google Play. Cross-platform restoration between iOS and Android is not guaranteed.
On iOS, StoreKit 2 is the source of truth for purchase and restore results and subscription access. On Android, Google Play Billing is the source of truth for purchase, restore, and subscription access results.
RevenueCat separately records and validates store receipts or purchase tokens and synchronizes purchase and restore status. However, RevenueCat is not the payment provider and does not make the App’s final decision about whether paid features are available.
The App does not use RevenueCat CustomerInfo or entitlements to unlock paid features. A RevenueCat outage or synchronization failure does not change a purchase or restore completed by the relevant app store or whether paid features are available. This does not mean that the App can completely prevent fraudulent purchases.
Article 7. Withdrawal and Refunds
For users to whom Korean consumer law applies, Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce provides a right to withdraw a purchase within seven days of payment.
Under Article 17(2)5 of the Act, the right of withdrawal may be restricted for the portion of a digital service that has already been used. For Proofie, use includes saving or sharing an image made with a paid template, or exporting an image with the watermark removed or with a changed date and time.
This restriction does not apply where the relevant information was not clearly displayed, the App provided something different from what was displayed, or a defect made the App unusable.
Please request a withdrawal or refund through the App Store or Google Play, depending on where you made the purchase. If you contact the Company at contact@ourbeom.com, we will explain the applicable process and provide reasonable assistance. The Company will not deny a right granted by applicable law solely because of an app store policy.
Nothing in this Article limits any rights or remedies guaranteed to you under applicable law.
Article 8. Payments by Minors
A payment made by a user under 19 without the consent of a legal representative may be cancelled by the user or the legal representative, as permitted under applicable law.
Please use the refund process provided by the App Store or Google Play, depending on where the purchase was made, or contact contact@ourbeom.com.
Article 9. Rights in Content
You retain all rights in photos you take or import and in the images you create using the App. The Company does not claim ownership of such content and does not collect or use it.
Rights in the App’s template designs, typefaces, logos, screen layouts, and other App materials belong to the Company or their respective rights holders. You may use these materials only as part of using the App and may not extract, copy, reproduce, distribute, or redistribute the templates themselves without authorization.
Article 10. User Obligations
Users must not:
- use another person’s photo or likeness without the necessary consent or other legal right;
- reverse-engineer, copy, distribute, modify, or otherwise alter the App without authorization;
- interfere with the normal operation of the App; or
- create or distribute images that violate applicable law or the rights of others.
Article 11. Changes to or Suspension of the Service
The Company may change or discontinue the App or any part of its services. If a change affects a paid subscription, or if the service is terminated, the Company will provide notice through the App at least 30 days in advance and will provide any refund or other remedy required by applicable law and the procedures of the relevant app store.
The service may be temporarily interrupted due to unavoidable circumstances, such as a natural disaster, equipment failure, or a change in an app store’s policies. In such circumstances, advance notice may not be possible.
Article 12. Liability
The Company will compensate users for damages caused by reasons attributable to the Company, to the extent required by applicable law.
The Company is not liable for:
- loss of photos or records stored only on your device, which the Company does not possess and cannot restore;
- the content of images you create or any problems arising from your publication or use of those images; or
- an inability to provide the service due to force majeure or other circumstances beyond the Company’s reasonable control.
Article 13. Dispute Resolution
The Company and the user will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes through good-faith consultation.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through consultation, a user may seek mediation or other remedies available under Korean consumer law, including through the Korea Consumer Agency counselling center (1372, ccm.go.kr) or the Electronic Commerce Mediation Committee (ecmc.or.kr).
Article 14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Any dispute may be brought before a court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act. For consumers, the court having jurisdiction over the consumer’s address or residence at the time the action is filed will also have jurisdiction, where required by applicable law.
Article 15. Contact
On iOS, you can contact the Company through the contact feature in Settings.
On either platform, you may also contact the Company at:
Email: contact@ourbeom.com
The Android App does not currently provide in-App transmission of enquiries.
