Proofie Terms of Service

This is an archived version. See the current document
English translation. The Korean version is the binding text; where the two differ, the Korean version governs.
These terms set out the conditions for using Proofie (the "App"), an iOS and
Android app provided by OurBeom (아워범) (the "Company"). They cover the iOS App
(App Store ID 6809110642, bundle ID com.ourbeom.proofie) and the Android App
(package name com.ourbeom.proofie).
How the App handles personal data is set out separately in the Privacy Policy.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Company and users in connection with the use of the App.
Article 2 (Effect and amendment of these terms)
These terms take effect when posted inside the App.
The Company may amend these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. It will announce the changes and effective date inside the App, and will announce changes unfavourable to users at least 30 days before they take effect.
A user who does not agree may stop using and delete the App, or cancel the subscription, before the effective date. Continued use after that date is taken as agreement. A user who expressly objects to an unfavourable change is not treated as having agreed, and the Company will explain how to cancel.
Article 3 (What the service provides)
The App provides the following:
- taking a photo or importing one from the photo library;
- placing the date, time, day of the week and similar fields over a photo using a template;
- saving the resulting image to the device or sharing it with other apps; and
- keeping the records you create together on the device.
Saving and sharing with certain templates, and removing the watermark, are available only to subscribers. Preview and editing are available without a subscription.
Proofie is intended for people aged 16 or over. The Company does not collect a date of birth or identity document to verify age.
Article 4 (Use without an account)
The App can be used without signing up.
Photos and records you create are stored only on your device. The Company cannot restore them if you lose the device or delete the App. Keep important records separately, for example in the system photo library.
Because there is no Proofie account, the App does not link an iOS user and an Android user as the same person. It does not transfer App data or subscription access from one platform to the other.
Article 5 (Paid subscriptions)
- Monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions are offered on iOS and Android. The price, term, trial and renewal conditions shown on the purchase screen apply, and payment is taken only after you review and accept them.
- Apple App Store processes iOS payments and Google Play processes Android payments. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds and payment methods are managed under the policies and procedures of the store where you purchased.
- A subscription renews automatically under the terms shown by that store. You may cancel at any time in App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You retain access until the paid period ends, after which it will not renew.
- If the Company raises a price, it will give notice and obtain any consent required by applicable law and the relevant store process.
Article 6 (Restoring purchases and deciding paid access)
A purchase is restored using the same store account that made it. An iOS purchase is restored through App Store and an Android purchase through Google Play. Cross-platform restoration between iOS and Android is not guaranteed.
StoreKit 2 is the source of truth for purchase and restore results and subscription access on iOS. Google Play Billing is the source of truth on Android. RevenueCat separately records and validates store receipts or purchase tokens and synchronises purchase and restore status, but it is not the payment provider and does not make the App's final paid-access decision.
The App does not use RevenueCat CustomerInfo or entitlements to unlock paid
features. A RevenueCat outage or sync failure does not change a purchase or
restore completed by the store, or whether paid features are available. This
architecture is not represented as completely preventing fraudulent purchases.
Article 7 (Withdrawal and refunds)
- Under Article 17 of Korea's Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you may withdraw a purchase within seven days of payment.
- Under Article 17(2)5, withdrawal may be restricted for the part of a digital service already used. Here, use means saving or sharing an image made with a paid template, or exporting an image with the watermark removed.
- The restriction does not apply where it was not displayed clearly, the App provided something different from what was displayed, or a defect made the App unusable.
- Request a withdrawal or refund through the App Store or Google Play process where you purchased. If you write to contact@ourbeom.com, the Company will explain the relevant process and provide necessary assistance. It will not refuse a right granted by law merely because of a store policy.
- Nothing in this article limits rights guaranteed by applicable law.
Article 8 (Payments by minors)
A payment made by a user under 19 without consent from a legal representative may be cancelled by the user or representative. Use the refund process of the App Store or Google Play where the purchase was made, or contact contact@ourbeom.com.
Article 9 (Rights in content)
Rights in photos you take or import and images you create belong to you. The Company claims no rights in them and does not collect or use them.
Rights in template designs, typefaces, logos and screen layouts belong to the Company or their respective owners. You may use them only as part of using the App, and may not extract, copy or redistribute the templates themselves.
Article 10 (User obligations)
Users must not:
- use another person's photo or likeness without the rights holder's consent;
- reverse-engineer, copy, distribute or modify the App without authorisation;
- interfere with the normal operation of the App; or
- create and distribute images that violate law or the rights of others.
Article 11 (Changes to or suspension of the service)
The Company may change or discontinue the service. It will announce a change affecting paid subscriptions, or termination, inside the App at least 30 days in advance and will provide a refund or other required remedy under applicable law and the process of the store where the purchase was made.
The service may be interrupted temporarily by an unavoidable event such as a natural disaster, equipment failure or change in store policy, in which case advance notice may not be possible.
Article 12 (Liability)
The Company compensates users as required by applicable law for damage caused by reasons attributable to the Company. It is not liable for:
- loss of photos or records stored on your device, which the Company does not possess and cannot restore;
- the content of images you create or problems arising from your publication of those images; or
- inability to provide the service due to force majeure.
Article 13 (Dispute resolution)
The Company and user will consult in good faith to resolve a dispute. If this does not succeed, a user may seek mediation under Korean consumer law through the Korea Consumer Agency counselling centre (1372, ccm.go.kr) or the Electronic Commerce Mediation Committee (ecmc.or.kr).
Article 14 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Litigation may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act; for a consumer, the court for the user's address or residence at filing also has jurisdiction.
Article 15 (Contact)
The iOS App provides a contact feature in Settings. On either platform you may write to contact@ourbeom.com. The Android App does not currently transmit an enquiry from inside the App.
