SIMTA Privacy Policy
2026-10-01
English
SIMTA is a timer app for iOS and Android, published by OurBeom (아워범), a
business registered in the Republic of Korea. This policy explains what the app
collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the iOS app (App Store ID 6477752878) and the Android app (Google Play package im.oh3vci.simta), not the
OurBeom website.
The app has no accounts and no sign-in. It includes advertising and a one-time in-app purchase: on iOS from version 1.3.0 and on Android from version 1.5.0. Older versions without those features are not covered by sections 1-2 and 1-3.
1. What the app collects
Four things — usage statistics, advertising data, purchase status, and diagnostics. None is linked by OurBeom to your identity.
1-1. Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
Used to understand overall trends in how the app is used. Analytics runs in the public store build, not in developer or sideloaded builds.
| Item | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| App instance ID — assigned automatically to an installation and not linked to your identity or an advertising identifier | Usage statistics | 14 months |
| Coarse location — country or region level, inferred by Google from an IP address. The app does not use location services or collect coordinates | Usage statistics | 2 months |
| Usage records — screen views, sessions, timer actions, settings changes, and purchase-flow events. Timer labels or other user-written text are not sent | Usage statistics | 2 months |
The build excludes advertising identifiers from Analytics: no IDFA is requested on iOS, and the Android advertising ID permission is removed. The retention periods above are Google Analytics settings. Data expires automatically; already aggregated statistics may remain.
1-2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Free users may see a banner at the bottom of Settings and Recent, and an interstitial only after a completed timer session. SIMTA PRO removes ads.
Personalized advertising is not used. Every ad request carries the
non-personalized flag (npa=1). The app does not request IDFA on iOS or the
Android advertising ID. On Android it also removes the Privacy Sandbox Topics,
Attribution, and Ad Services advertising-ID permissions. On iOS the Google
publisher first-party identifier is disabled.
Serving even a non-personalized ad still causes Google Mobile Ads to collect and share data for ad delivery, analytics, frequency control, and fraud prevention:
| Item | Purpose |
|---|---|
| IP address and coarse location inferred from it | Region-appropriate ad delivery, analytics, fraud prevention |
| App and ad interactions — app launch, taps, impressions, clicks, and video views when applicable | Ad delivery, analytics, frequency control |
| Diagnostics — app/SDK launch time, hang rate, energy use, response times, and errors | App operation, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Device and account identifiers other than IDFA or the Android advertising ID, such as an app set ID when available | Ad delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention |
Before starting Google Mobile Ads, the app asks Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for the current privacy status. Android may display a consent form when UMP requires one. Mobile Ads starts only if UMP reports that ads can be requested; otherwise no ad request is made. When UMP requires a privacy-options entry point, it appears under Settings > Privacy so the choice can be reviewed or changed. All permitted requests remain non-personalized.
How Google handles this data is described in the Google advertising partner sites policy.
1-3. Purchase status (Apple · Google Play · RevenueCat)
SIMTA PRO is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes ads and unlocks additional themes and Recent capacity.
Apple processes iOS payments through StoreKit and Google processes Android payments through Google Play Billing. Card numbers, bank details, and other payment credentials are never passed to OurBeom or the app.
RevenueCat verifies and restores the entitlement. It receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase-history or transaction-receipt information. The app does not send your name, email address, or other account profile to RevenueCat.
1-4. Diagnostics (Google)
Google Mobile Ads and UMP send diagnostics about their own operation directly to Google. OurBeom does not collect a separate crash log or use Firebase Crashlytics or Firebase Performance Monitoring. Depending on platform and SDK operation, Google diagnostics include crash records, performance information, and other SDK diagnostic data for app functionality, advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. This data is encrypted in transit.
2. What the app does not collect
No account information, name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, payment credentials, IDFA, or Android advertising ID.
Your activity outside SIMTA is not used for personalized advertising. The app does not link its data with activity from other companies' apps or websites for targeted advertising. This does not mean an ad request processes no data; the limited device, network, interaction, and diagnostic data in section 1-2 is still processed to deliver and protect non-personalized ads.
3. What stays on your device
Timer state and durations, theme, display preferences, language choice, and Recent history are kept in the operating system's local app storage. They are not sent to OurBeom and are removed when the app is deleted.
4. Notifications
Timer alerts are scheduled on the device. There is no push-notification server, and the app does not collect a push token. Android may display an ongoing timer notification and a full-screen alarm when the timer ends; those are local system features.
5. Links out of the app
Feedback opens your mail app, Leave a review opens the relevant app store, and Share the app opens the system share sheet. The app does not transmit anything merely because you open one of these. A feedback draft may include the device model, OS version, and app version; you can review and edit it before sending. Tapping an ad opens a destination selected by the advertiser, whose and Google's policies then apply.
6. Your rights and deletion requests
Wherever you are, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or other rights available under local law at simpletimerapp@gmail.com. We reply within two business days. RevenueCat customer data can be deleted on request. Analytics and advertising data is anonymous or pseudonymous, so we may need an installation or anonymous customer identifier to locate a specific record. Deleting the app removes its local data and identifiers; server-side records then expire or are deleted according to the provider's controls and retention period.
For users in the Republic of Korea, requests are handled under PIPA and disputes may be brought to the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee or the Korea Internet & Security Agency privacy centre (118). EEA and UK users have the rights provided by the GDPR and may complain to their supervisory authority. California users have the rights provided by the CCPA/CPRA. OurBeom does not sell personal information.
The legal basis is legitimate interest for aggregate usage statistics, consent where required for advertising, and performance of a contract for purchase status. If UMP does not allow ads, no ad request is made.
7. Who else processes this data
| Recipient | What | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase) | Usage statistics in 1-1 | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google (AdMob · UMP) | Advertising and diagnostics in 1-2 and 1-4 | policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites |
| Apple | iOS in-app purchase processing | apple.com/legal/privacy |

These providers may process data outside your country and use lawful transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Children
SIMTA is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 14. The store listing does not designate it as a children's app. Advertising is non-personalized for every user. If you believe a child's personal data has been provided, contact us and we will investigate and delete it as applicable.
